March 2010 High Power Service Rifle Match
        Robert Coffey won the first Service Rifle match of the year with a score of 570-14X.  He won the Prone Slowfire match with 96-3X and the Rapidfire Prone match with 195-4X.  Dean Hendrickson won the Rapidfire Sitting match with 197-7X and the Offhand match with 92-1X.
        The silhouette match this month had four shooters; Ernest Mijares had the high overall score with 10 hits in the rain.
        The weather was heavy overcast and intermittent rain but generally with no wind which allowed the roof to do a good job of keeping us dry.  Turnout was 13 shooters with several new ones and two more new memberships this month.
        Tom Temple again served as Range Safety Officer and called the match.  Thanks again, Tom.
        Next match is April 3 (see the 2010 match schedule) and it is a 50 shot National Match course.  The April auxiliary match will be a 60 shot pistol match, any pistol, any sights.  See our new pistol page for more details.  Shooters who wish to fire the pistol match only should plan to arrive at the range by 10 AM for a pre-match orientation.  We are aiming for a 9:30 AM start time for the match.  See you there.

April 2010 High Power Rifle Match
        Robert Coffey won the April match with a score of 483-16X, sweeping all four sub-matches.  He won the Slowfire Prone match with 194-7X, the Prone Rapidfire match with 98-3X, the Sitting Rapidfire match with 99-4X and the Offhand match with 92-2X.
        Ernest Mijares won the pistol match with a score of 495-1X.
        Weather was a cool spring day with slight wind before the match began and intermittent clouds the rest of the day.  Turnout was nine rifle shooters plus one additional pistol shooter.
        Tom Temple again served as Range Safety Officer and called the rifle match.  John Bottomley set up the pistol targets and called the pistol match.  Thanks again, gentlemen.
        Next match is May 1 (see the 2010 match schedule) and it is a 50 shot National Match course.  The May auxiliary match will be a 20 shot silhouette match.  We are aiming for a 9:30 AM start time.  See you there.
